I’m Carmen — the face behind Vola con Carmen and Surprising Aviation. I became a flight attendant at 40 — I didn’t think it was possible, but here I am. For over four years, I’ve inspired thousands of aviation enthusiasts across Italy and beyond through content creation, career guidance, and authentic storytelling. Today, my journey takes flight globally.

With a dual specialization in the airport sector — as both a certified flight attendant and a ground hostess — I’ve gained a complete understanding of the aviation world, from passenger psychology to terminal operations. My experiences have taken me across more than 800,000 kilometers in the air, connecting with cultures and witnessing the magic of flight from above the clouds.

One of my most memorable encounters? The warm and witty spirit of the Scottish people — a moment that stays with me for its sincerity and connection.

Since childhood, aviation has been my dream. That dream grew into Vola con Carmen, a personal vlog for aviation lovers in Italy — and evolved into Surprising Aviation, a global hub for education, inspiration, and career development.
